Police arrest couple in Va. bank robbery

NOKESVILLE, Va. (WUSA9) -- Police arrested two people Friday in connection to a bank robbery that happened at the Carter Bank & Trust located in Nokesville, Va. on March 6.

Prince William County Police said the robbery happened at the Carter Bank and Trust located at 12912 Fitzwater Dr in Nokesville.

Police said they received an anonymous tip through Crime Solvers which identified the suspect as Michael Lee Jerman, 33 of 7411 Moss Ln in Manassas.

Upon further investigation, police identified the owner of the truck used in the incident. Regina Frances Rinker, 43 of 241 Bridle Path Rd. in Front Royal, the girlfriend of Jerman was also arrested Friday without incident, police said.

Detective determined Rinker was also involved in the robbery.

Jerman was arrested and charged with robbery. He is currently being held without bond.

Rinker was also charged with robbery and is currently awaiting extradition.
