Police: 2 arrested for leaving 4-year-old, infant alone

WOODBRIDGE Va. (WUSA9) -- Prince William County police have arrested two people after a 4-year-old girl and an infant child were left unattended.

Kashif Ahmed Khan, 40 and Roohi Kashif, 34, of the 2900 block of Marsala Ct., have been charged with felony child neglect and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to police.

On July 10, officers found a four-year-old girl walking by herself, unsupervised, on the 2900 block of Marsala Ct.

Police say they followed the girl back to a residence on Marsala Ct., where they located an infant child in a bedroom and a family member sleeping in a separate bedroom.

After the accused returned home, officers learned both suspects left the children in the residence alone without notifying the other adult, according to police.

Both children were unharmed. Bond is set at 10,000 unsecured, according to the press release.
