Teacher and student arrested in Fairfax County

RESTON, VA. (WUSA9) - A high school Spanish teacher and an 18-year-old student were arrested after police said they stole a case of beer from a Reston gas station.

Around 11 p.m. Monday, police said 18-year-old Adelmo Ernesto Arias Guillen was caught on camera stealing a case of beer while 30-year-old Fabiana Alicia Ciammaichella was seen distracting a cashier. Ciammaichella then left the store, picked up the Guillen and drove away, police said.

Police later found the two, the stolen beer and illegal narcotics inside Ciammaichella’s home.

Both were arrested and charged with drug, alcohol and larceny offenses. 

According to police, Ciammaichella is a Spanish teacher and works at South Lakes High School and Guillen is a sophomore at the school.

Due to the incident, Fairfax County Public School suspended Ciammaichella.
