76-year-old dies in Va. house fire

CLIFTON, Va. (WUSA9) -- One person was killed and two more were injured in a house fire on the morning of June 25.

At about 4:25 a.m., Fairfax County firefighters responded to a house fire at 5605 Willow Valley Road in Clifton.

The victim has been identified as 76-year-old Bok Yong An.

Upon arrival, firefighters simultaneously searched the two-story home and launched an aggressive fire attack, officials say.

Firefighters rescued an elderly adult male from inside the home. Two other people escaped before crews arrived.

All three were transported to Washington Hospital Burn Center with life-threatening injuries, where the elderly man, later identified as An, died.

The fire was brought under control in approximately 10 minutes. Damage is estimated at $40,000.
