1 man arrested for August 7-Eleven robbery

WOODBRIDGE, Va. (WUSA9) -- Officials with the Prince William County Police Department say they have found one of two men wanted in connection with a robbery that happened at a 7-Eleven in Woodbridge, Va. on August 24th.

Luis Espinal of Woodbridge was arrested on September 18th at a business on Jefferson Davis Highway, say police. Police say he tired to run away but was quickly taken into custody.

Espinal is charged with robbery and resisting arrest. He is being held without bond, say police. He has a court date set for November 14th.

Officers responded to the 7-Eleven located at 14820 Cloverdale Road at approximately 2:04 a.m. on August 24th, police said.

Employees reported that two men entered the store and tried to steal two cases of beer, police said. One of the employees tried to stop one of the men from the leaving and was assaulted, authorities said.

One of the suspects claimed to have a knife, police said. Only minor injuries were reported.

Police are still searching for a black man between the ages of 16 and 20 and about 5 feet 8 inches tall. The suspect is around 160 pounds and has a medium build, police said. He has a light complexion and black hair, authorities said. The first suspect was last seen wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and black pants.
