Verify: Is Chick-Fil-A offering a free meal to new moms?

Is Chick-Fil-A really giving away free meals to new moms? WUSA9 verified this story for you.

QUESTION:

Is Chick-Fil-A offering a free meal to new moms?

ANSWER:

We can verify this is false. However, there is some good news for new moms living in Texas.

PROCESS:

Our Verify research team reached out to Chick-Fil-A corporate to ask if the free meal for new moms was legit.

And the answer was no, but they did tell us about one store in Houston that started something called the New Moms Program early last year.

The owner of the Houston store is a mom of three and has given away close to 50 free meals to new moms over the past year and a half.

The Houston Chick-Fil-A is between Rice University and NRG Stadium at the corner of Holcomb and Buffalo Speedway.

To be eligible, new moms have to live within a three-mile radius of the store. They also have to like the stores Facebook page and do a few other things.

Chick-Fil-A stores are independently owned and operated, so that's why you'll see different promotions at different stores.
