Va. man charged for hit and run after turning himself in

CENTREVILLE, VA (WUSA9) - A Centreville man was charged with felony hit-and-run Monday night.

Virginia State Police say 23-year-old Khoa New-in was driving the Toyota Corolla that struck and killed a Manassas woman in I-66 early Saturday morning.

Yesenia Funes, 37, had pulled over and gotten out of her car to retrieve something from the trunk when she was hit. 

New-in later turned himself into police.
