Two trailer fires in Waldorf, two people and dog found dead

CHARLES CO., MD. (WUSA9) - Two people and a dog were found dead after two separate fires in trailers in Waldorf, Maryland.

The first trailer fires happened around 5:40 a.m. on Wednesday at 1775 Marshall Hall Road. 

When officials arrived, the found the victims body inside. They were pronounced dead at the scene and transported to the Chief Medical Examiners office in Baltimore. 

A dog also died in the fire.

Police said the victim might have been trapped inside of the trailer. Officials do not know if the fire alarms were working inside of the mobile home.

Charles County Police are investigating.

The second incident happened Wednesday afternoon. Charles County Fire received a call just after 3:30 p.m. When they arrived 90 percent of the trailer was in flames.

Firefighters found one person dead inside. They extinguished the fire and removed the body. 

Police have not released the name of the victim and have not yet identified the person's family.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal's office is investigating the fire.
