Two men charged with rape, human trafficking

Two men were are arrested in Frederick, Maryland and charged with human trafficking by force, Frederick police said.

Officers responded to the Super 8 Motel located at 20 Monocacy Boulevard for report of a domestic dispute. When they arrived, a juvenile girl told police she was missing from Texas and brought to Maryland by one of the suspects.

Marvin Bernard Armstrong, 46, of High Point, North Carolina and Thomas Duane Jones, 35, of Houston, Texas were each charged with one count of first degree rape, first degree sex offense, human trafficking by force, human trafficking, false imprisonment and second degree assault.

According to police, Thomas and Armstrong forced intercourse with the victim. This was allegedly done for an exchange of money.

The victim’s name is not being released.
