Teens back in custody after escaping detention center

ROCKVILLE, MD (WUSA9) – - Three teens are back in custody after they escaped from the Alfred D. Noyes Youth Center in Rockville Sunday night, police said.

Two of the teens are 15 years old and the third is 17 years old.

Police searched Key West Avenue and Great Seneca Highway using patrol officers and K9 units on the ground. They also deployed a helicopter.

It was unclear if the teens were armed or dangerous.

The three were taken into custody about two hours after they escaped.
