Teen dating summit to be hosted in PG county

PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Md. (WUSA9) -- A teen dating and domestic violence summit will take place on February 22 at the Prince George's Community College for the National Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention month.

The event will be hosted by Judge Herman C. Dawson, the coordinating judge for juvenile causes. Other representatives including the State's Attorney Angela Alsobrooks, Administrative Judge Sheila Tillerson Adams and others from local law enforcement agencies will take part.

The purpose of the summit is to help bring awareness to this ongoing problem that affects many teenagers in the Prince George's County, according to the Circuit Court for Prince George's County.

Attendees will have the opportunity to take part in various sessions and panel discussions throughout the day.

The summit is open for both teenagers and parents.
