Suspected child sexual predator wanted by FBI

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- The Federal Bureau of Investigation is hoping someone will have information leading to the identification of a suspected child sexual predator. At this time, the man is only known as John Doe 28.

FBI officials say initial images and video of John Doe 28 engaging in sexually explicit activities with a child were first recorded by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in November 2012. Investigators were able to enhance the images and now they believe they contain several clues that may lead to his name. Among the possible clues are a blue sofa chair and a picture hanging on a wall in the background.

John Doe 28 is also wearing wire-framed glasses and a burgundy t-shirt with what appears to be a shark logo on his left side, say officials. He appears to be a Caucasian male, possibly in his 30s or 40s, with a receding hairline.

Anyone with information is asked to submit a tip online at https://tips.fbi.gov/ , or call the FBI's toll-free tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324).
