WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA) -- Police are looking for two suspects believed to be involved in the fatal shooting of a teenager in Northwest DC.
Officials tell 9NEWS NOW officers were called to the 6200 block of 7th Street around 9:30 Sunday night for a report of a shooting. Officers arriving on scene found a teenage victim suffering from a gun shot wound.
Police say the victim, 15-year-old Joel Watkins of Jefferson Street, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials say two suspects were seen running from the scene, which is just down the street from Whittier Elementary School. Right now, there is no clear description of the suspects.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.

If the information provided by the caller to the Crime Solvers Unit leads to an arrest and indictment, that caller will be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
