WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA) -- Union Station saw thousands of travelers making their way to their Amtrak trains.

One line to get on a train, extended from the door to hall and beyond.

Josh Will of Woodbridge wasn't sure how much longer he could wait.

"I don't see a bathroom in sight and I've been having to go for about an hour now," he said.

There haven't been many complaints about Amtrak, but Sean Sidbury says he's had problems on the Metro.

"That's actually why I'm sitting here right now. There was a delay on the Red Line that made me late for my train so I missed it," he said.

And on the roads, there's a lot of honking but not a lot of moving.

Many people expected the highways to be bad, but main roads like Wisconsin and River Road were jammed as well.
