WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA) -- Two DC Recreation Centers opened their doors for H1N1 Vaccine Clinics.
The Kennedy Rec Center on 7th Street NW and the Hillcrest Rec Center on Denver Street SE hosted the events. Each had 400 doses of the nasal vaccine and 600 shots available.
Young people age six months to 24-years-old, adults with certain medical conditions like asthma and diabetes, infant childcare providers and pregnant women take priority for the vaccine.
DC health officials say pharmacies should start receiving the vaccine by November 23rd.
The big mass clinics are being scaled back so more doses can go to doctor's offices and community health centers.
