
WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA) - Police are looking for two men in the killing of a Hyattsville woman during the Saturday night holdup of her liquor store in Northwest Washington.
Police identified the victim as Rufina Hernandez, 51.
Metro Police said Hernandez was shot multiple times in the face and neck at about 9 p.m. at La Casa De Morata at 5421 Georgia Ave. after two men entered the business and obtained an undetermined amount of money. Police said only one of the suspects did the shooting.
The victim was taken to Washington Hospital Center, where she was pronounced dead. A vigil was to be held at the store at 7 p.m. Sunday.
One suspect is described as a medium-complexioned black man, 30 to 40 years of age. He is about 5 feet 8, 160 to 200 pounds, and was wearing a flannel shirt. He was armed with a black handgun.
The other suspect is described as a dark-complexioned Hispanic man, 30 to 40 years of age. He is about 6 feet tall with a thin build. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
