CHEVERLY, Md. (WUSA) -- Hundreds of people lined up to get the H1N1 vaccine. Some people waited four hours to get the shot.
"Everybody is getting really moody right now but we have decided that we aren't going to leave here until we get the shot," said Edite Torres.
For kids, it's a long time to wait. Many of the girls played with each other. The boys shared handheld video games. And their parents tried not to get upset.
"I'm frustrated about the wait time, but finally I'm getting it that makes me excited," said Roksana Chowdhury.
Christina Sanchez was relieved to get the vaccines for herself and her four children. Sanchez is pregnant with her fifth child.
Her kids cried and tried to resist the shot.
"Its better than actually getting sick from the flu and having to be in the hospital," Sanchez told them.
