Off-duty Officer Killed In Motorcycle Crash

PARKVILLE, Md. (AP) -- An off-duty Baltimore County police officer has died after a motorcycle crash.

Police and fire officials say it happened shortly before 1 p.m. Sunday on Old Harford Road in Parkville. The male officer was riding a motorcycle that collided with another vehicle.

Fire department spokeswoman Elise Armacost says the officer was in cardiac arrest when medics arrived. Medics called a state police helicopter, but the officer was taken by ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
