ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Officials say Montgomery County has stopped giving the seasonal flu vaccine to public school students and will shift emphasis to the swine flu vaccine.
According to a letter sent home this week to parents, the shipment of the nasal vaccine were insufficient to continue giving the vaccine.
Also, health officials say if children get the mist form of the seasonal flu vaccine, they'll have to wait 28 days to get a swine flu vaccination.
Mary Anderson, spokeswoman for the Montgomery County health department, tells WTOP that right now, officials are getting vaccines for swine flu. She says once the county gets a "substantial" supply of swine flu vaccines, school clinics will return.
