(USATODAY) -- Cats are all over the internet, thanks in good part to Ben Huh.

The Cheezburger Network has served its billionth page of cat-inspired photos and videos. The network has more than 30 blogs, but the most popular is the original Icanhascheezburger.com, which reached the mark in 33 months and has 200 million page views a month.

It' so easy to do, if you haven't seen it yet. You go to the website, pick a nutty photo, caption it and save it. It's one place where awkward phrases and misspellings are encouraged. And he makes it easy to send the goofy images to others for free.

"No matter how tough the economy or how busy we are, we need to laugh and that need has helped I Can Has Cheezburger? attract an enormous following of loyal users," said Ben Huh, CEO of Cheezburger Network. "The site's growth is fueled by everyday people who are finding out how funny they can be in front of millions of users."

Huh does not have a cat, citing allergies, but by providing LOLs he's got the followers. He says his network earned seven figures in the first six months of 2009. Every day, he says, more than 10,000 photos and videos are submitted.

There's even an off-Broadway production of the crazy cats.
