
RESTON, Va. (WUSA) - Fairfax county police have charged a man in a sex assault incident in Reston earlier this week.
A 19-year-old woman was sexually assaulted near 12530 Sunrise Valley Drive on Monday afternoon. Around 4 p.m., police say, the woman was with a man she met through an acquaintance. The woman reported to police as she neared the Herndon Monroe commuter lot, the man convinced her to enter some nearby woods.
Once inside the woods, the man sexually assaulted the victim. The suspect fled and the woman summoned police. She was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital with minor injuries.
The suspect was described as black, in his 20s, wearing a tan shirt, blue jeans, and a camouflage hat. He was riding a silver bicycle.
Early Tuesday morning, police arrested 28-year-old Mohamed Kaffi, of 1603 Beacon Tree Lane. Kaffi turned himself in at the Reston District Station after learning police were looking for him.
He was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and charged with Abduction with the intent to defile, and Rape.
