COLUMBIA, Md. (WUSA/HOWARD COUNTY POLICE) -- A 20-year-old Ellicott City woman was killed Friday night in a three-car accident on Route 108 west of Ten Mills Road, police reported.

Howard County Police said Melissa Moody of the 11600 block of Masters Run was pronounced dead at the scene.

Moody was driving a Toyota Corolla westbound on Route 108 at 11:52 p.m. when the car crossed the double yellow line and sideswiped an eastbound Lexus IS 350. The Toyota continued westbound on the wrong side of the road and struck an eastbound Hyundai Elantra.

The other two drivers were taken to Howard County General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. They were identified as Derrick Jordan, 29, of the 5500 block of Harpers Farm Road, Columbia, who was driving the Hyunda; and Joanne Chan, 32, of the 2400 block of Astrid Court in Brookeville, Md., who was operating the Lexus.
