WOODBRIDGE, Va. (WUSA) - A student at Forest Park High School in Woodbridge was arrested after another student reported he had sexually assaulted her in a hallway of the school.

The alleged incident happened at about 10:45 a.m. on Thursday. Prince William County Police Officer Erika Hernandez tells 9 News Now that the girl did not report it immediately, but did tell school officials later, and they in turn notified police.

Lavone Rasheed Richardson-Crosby, 19, of Dumfries was charged by police on Friday. Both the victim and the accused attend Forest Park High School, located at 15721 Forest Park Drive in Woodbridge. Police say the victim was not injured during the assault. She is not being identified by police.

Officer Hernandez says the 18-year-old girl reported that on Thursday morning, she was walking in the hallway when another student held her against her will and forced to inappropriately touch him. Detectives investigated the complaint and Richardson-Crosby was taken into custody and held without bond. He was charged with Abduction, Sexual Battery, and Obscene Display, and has a court date scheduled for November.
