BETHESDA, Md. (WUSA) -- Police were called after a man's body was discovered in downtown Bethesda Monday morning.
A jogger called police shortly before 6:00 a.m. and reported seeing a person who appeared to be deceased at 7600 Woodmont Avenue -- at a parking garage near Woodmont and Old Georgetown Road.
Montgomery County Police say the victim was a homeless man and foul play is not suspected as a factor in his death, but the cause and manner of death will be determined after an autopsy is performed.
Police later identified the victim as Thomas Dineen Liekweg, age 61, of no fixed address. Police say were no signs of foul play at the scene but say the cause and manner of death will be determined after the completion of an autopsy by the Medical Examiner's Office in Baltimore.
As part of the investigation police are interested in talking with anyone who may have observed Mr Liekweg over the weekend. Police say Mr. Liekweg was seen late Friday afternoon in Bethesda. Anyone who saw or spoke with him this past Saturday or Sunday is asked to call the Montgomery County Police.
