DAMASCUS, Md. (AP) -- Montgomery County police have identified the driver who was killed in an SUV-bus collision in Damascus.

Sixty-one-year-old Alfred Burnett Weedon of Montgomery Village died shortly after the crash, which occurred Tuesday afternoon in the 23800 block of Woodfield Road.

The driver of the bus, 64-year-old by Roberto Pinedo of Gaithersburg and a passenger on the bus, 74-year-old Conchita Larion, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say Weedon was traveling in a Jeep Grand Cherokee southbound on Woodfield Road when the Jeep crossed the double yellow lines and struck the bus.
