WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, West Virginia (AP) -- When gambling debuts at The Greenbrier resort in West Virginia, it will come with more than just dice and chips.
New owner Jim Justice envisions stylish touches that will include patrons toasting each other with champagne at 8 p.m. every night.
Justice received a state license yesterday from the Lottery Commission to offer slot machines and casino-style tables at the historic resort.
Construction has already started on an 82,000-square-foot facility that will feature 400 slot machines and 40 gaming tables. The facility is expected to open next April.
Justice plans to open a limited casino Oct. 1 with 10 gaming tables and 40 slot machines.
