ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Anne Arundel County authorities have condemned a home from which they removed 21 malnourished and flea-infested dogs.
The dogs were discovered after neighbors complained about howling dogs and an odor emanating from the feces-filled Orchard Beach home.
Authorities say 19 dogs were found inside the house and two were taken from a trailer. All were transported to Animal Control in Millersville.
The county health department deemed the home uninhabitable because of its unsanitary conditions.
Authorities did not identify the home's occupants.
County executive John Leopold says charges have not been filed, and authorities are continuing their investigation.
