MCLEAN, Va. (WUSA) -- In the country's deepest recession there are companies not only making it, but thriving.
Inc. Magazine has just come out with its 500 fastest-growing private companies. For the 13th straight year the DC Metro area boasts the most.
The list includes a diaper company, a roofing business and a television manufacturer.
Coming in at 29 is iCore in McLean. It's a managed networking and voice over private internet company for small and medium sized businesses. It combines all your internet and phone conferencing needs on your computer.
"The formula for success is the people," says Michael Bertamini, iCore Networks' Sales VP. "Our clients mean a lot to us and we take them seriously."
Its revenues grew nearly 4000 percent in a four year period.
Harley Stanfield in DC manages eco-friendly rental properties. It comes in third. Fedstore of Rockville is ranked 31.
To be a part of the magazine's honorary list, companies must show innovation, growth and create new jobs. iCore is hiring 25 people now and 225 in the next two years.
The superstar companies wouldn't be at the top of their game without hard work and long hours.
The September issue of Inc Magazine comes out on news stands beginning August 17th.
