ROSEDALE, Maryland (WUSA/WJZ)--She hasn't been seen for four years. Thursday, Baltimore County Police say they have arrested Tracey Gardner Tetso's estranged husband in her murder.
Police arrested Dennis Tetso, 44, of the 7800-block of Bluegrass Road, on a grand jury indictment for the murder of his wife, Tracey Tetso. He was arrested at approximately 3 p.m. Thursday at his place of employment without incident.
Tetso has been charged with first-degree murder and is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center with bail denied. He will be afforded a bail review sometime Friday.
Police are expected to provide more information in the case Thursday afternoon at a news conference.
"I made her a promise. From the beginning that I would never stop searching for her until we found her. And I'm going to keep my promise," Tracey's mother, Cathy Gardner told 9NEWS NOW back in 2006.
Tracey was last seen on March 6, 2005 after leaving her Rosedale house. She was supposed to be meeting a male friend for a Motley Crue concert at DC's Verizon Center.
"She never arrived at the concert," Baltimore County Police spokesman, Bill Toohey, told 9NEWS NOW in 2006.
EZ Pass records confirm Tracey's black 1996 Trans Am passed through the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel about an hour after that concert started. Minutes later, at 9:01 p.m., surveillance cameras capture Tracey's car pulling into a Days Inn hotel off Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie.
"There is a man getting out of the car but it is entirely too difficult to identify him," said Toohey.
At the time police said a search of the car gave no clues to Tracey's whereabouts. Also there was no indication Tracey had used her cell phone or tried to access bank accounts since she vanished.
At the time of her disappearance, Tracey was married to Dennis Tetso. Although he was still living with Tracey, her family tells 9NEWS NOW Tracey filed for divorce.
In 2006 police said her husband was not a suspect in the case. In fact, police said, they had no suspects because they had no crime. No body. No blood.
"Let's say a prayer for her," Nikki Sixx of the hard metal band Motley Crue told a crowd of concert goers shortly after Tracey's disappearance.
Hearing about Tracey's disappearance, the band donated $10,000 to the reward fund. The fund now stands at $25,000.
Cathy Gardner told 9NEWS NOW she never expected to see Tracey alive again.
"We've come to grips that she's not coming back," says Cathy. "But we should be able to bury her and get the closure."
