WASHINGTON (AP) -- Officials at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum say the building was briefly evacuated Wednesday due to maintenance activity. Museum spokesman Andrew Hollinger says fire alarms went off because of the maintenance activity, but there was no fire. Hollinger says people are now being allowed to go back inside. The incident comes a week after a security guard was fatally shot at the museum.
