HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP)--A brother and sister who claim to be the children of a now-deceased Roman Catholic priest are suing a Baltimore-based order for $10 million.

The suit claims that the Rev. Francis Ryan, a member of Saint Joseph's Society of the Sacred Heart, and his superiors concealed his affair with the siblings' mother. Ryan died in 1995.

Carla Latty of New Jersey and Adrian Senna of British Columbia were separately adopted. Latty says a search for her birth parents led her to Senna and their parents' story.

The suit filed in the Baltimore Circuit Court claims negligence in the hiring and supervision of Ryan, intentional infliction of emotional distress and fiduciary fraud.

The head of the order did not respond to repeated requests by the Baltimore Sun for comment.
