COLUMBIA, Md. (HCPD/WUSA) - Howard County police are investigating a report from a 13-year-old girl that she was sexually assaulted today by two male students, ages 13 and 14, at Wilde Lake Middle School in Columbia on Wednesday.
Police say a teacher noticed the girl was not in class around 11 a.m. and a school official found her walking in a hallway. She reported she had been sexually assaulted and school officials contacted police.
The girl told police that the assault occurred in a boys' restroom inside the school. She was taken to a local hospital for observation.
The two accused male students are being questioned by police, but no one has been charged at this time. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
