SPOTSYLVANIA, Va. (WUSA) - An employee of a bridal shop business was found tied up inside the shop after a robbery on Thursday.
Spotsylvania County Sheriffs Deputies responded to the shop, on Old Greenwich Drive, in reference to a robbery report. They found an employee of Bazaar y Joyeria, Ada's, which is a Bridal and Jewelry Store, on the floor with her hands and feet tied up.
The deputies untied the woman and she reported that two suspects, described as Hispanic men, came into the store at about noon, and walked around inside looking at clothing. A third Hispanic man came into the store and walked behind the store employee. Police say he placed his hand on her mouth and placed a handgun to the back of her head. He then forced her to the back of the store, where he tied her hands and feet.
Police say the suspects then left the store with an unknown amount of merchandise. A passerby who was walking by the store heard noises coming from inside. He looked inside the store and saw the woman lying on the floor. Another bystander called 911.
At this time, police say it is unknown if the suspects left on foot or a vehicle. The victim was not injured during the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Solvers at 540.582.5822.
