WASHINGTON (WUSA) - Two Prince George's County Peace officers are recovering after being struck by a vehicle in the district early Saturday morning.

Officials tell 9 NEWS NOW a Prince George's County Sheriff's Deputy was hit by a vehicle in the 1500 block of Southern Avenue around 3 a.m. Saturday.  The officer was flown to a local hospital for treatment of serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

A Prince George's County Police officer was also struck.  His injuries were not life-threatening.

Officials say the suspect has been arrested and the investigation is ongoing.
