Fairfax Teen Fatally Stabbed By Boyfriend

HERNDON, Va. (AP) -- Fairfax County police say a 17-year-old has been arrested in the death of his girlfriend. Police say they charged the teenager with homicide on Sunday, after his 19-year-old girlfriend, Siobhan Russell, was found in the Herndon area with a fatal stab wound to her upper body.

Authorities say the two were arguing in the boyfriend's home in the 12700 block of Magna Carta Road when the stabbing occurred. Police spokesman Officer Ray Roberts says police were contacted around 4:30 p.m. by the young man's father, who was in the house at the time.

Roberts says the boyfriend is being charged as a juvenile.
Authorities say this is the county's third homicide this year.
