Metro Releases Name Of Fatally Struck Man

ARLINGTON, Va. (WUSA) --- Washington Metro Area Transit Authority has released the name of the man who was fatally struck by an Orange Line Metrorail train early Sunday, March 15, 2009.

Kevin Deiss, 22, of Columbia, Md., was on the East Falls Church station's track bed around 1:44 a.m., when a six-car train arrived traveling from Vienna to New Carrollton. Metro spokesman, Steven Taubenkibel, told 9NEWS NOW the next-of-kin has been notified.

At this early stage of the investigation, Metro Transit Police have ruled out foul play, Taubenkibel says. Metro police officials are awaiting toxicology reports.
