SALISBURY, Md. (AP) -- The Lower Shore Sierra Club is evaluating what Salisbury should do next to become a more environmentally sustainable city.

A forum is planned Tuesday night to discuss ways the city can implement the goals of the Environmental Task Force. In November, the task force suggested policy based on the Kyoto Protocol and Mayor Barrie Parsons Tilghman enacted it. Local Sierra Club spokesman Louis Rimbach says Tuesday night's forum will educate citizens about the Cool Cities program. The city needs to create a climate action plan and reduce its carbon footprint.

Rimbach says reducing the city's carbon production will save the city money.
