Three Injured In Car Wash Accident

WASHINGTON (WUSA) - An unusual accident at a Northwest D.C. carwash has sent 3 people to the emergency room.

Officials tell 9 NEWS NOW a van struck two pedestrians and careened into another vehicle around 12:30 Tuesday afternoon. It happened at the Mr. Wash car wash in the 1300 block of 13th St. Officials say an employee of the car wash suffered a seizure while pulling the van out of the car wash.

A witness tells 9 NEWS NOW they saw the van hit the two victims and another vehicle across the street from the car wash. The van finally came to rest when it struck a building.

One victim was transported to George Washington Hospital. The other two victims were taken to Medstar. Police say the victim's injuries are not life-threatening.
