GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) -- Federal officials are trying to determine what caused a medical helicopter to crash on the roof of a hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
The fire chief says the chopper landed on its side as it was practicing approaches, and the two people on board got out before it caught on fire. They're both listed in stable condition at the hospital where the crash took place.
All surgeries at the hospital have been temporarily canceled, but are expected to resume later today. The hospital's emergency room has been closed as a result of the crash. Patients in need of emergency medical treatment are being sent other area hospitals.
