Man Shot To Death After Party In Landover

LANDOVER, MD (WUSA) -- Prince George's County police are searching for a suspect who shot and killed a man after an apparent party in a Landover residence early Sunday.

On Monday, Police released the name of the victim, identifying him as Robert Reid, 31, of the 900 block of University Boulevard in Silver Spring. Police received a call in the 4700 block of 66th Place in Landover for report of gunfire around 6:20 a.m. Sunday.

A police spokesman says there had been an apparent party at the residence before police received a call for the sound of gunshots.

When police arrived at the location, they found an adult male in the basement of the home, suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. The man was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police say an unknown number of people had been partying at the residence and that there were bottles strewn inside and outside the house.

Police say they are looking for a man with a slim-build. He was last wearing a red shirt and blue jeans. He drove a silver Toyota Four Runner. Police have not released a motive or the victim's name.
