WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA) -- Jim Bowden and the Nationals front office have done a lot to address the teams weaknesses this off-season. They've got more depth in the infield with Aaron Boone. They're stronger behind the plate with Paul LoDuca. But they have not fixed the most glaring weakness on the team - Teddy Roosevelt.
Since the mid-game Presidents Races started in July of 2006, the Old RoughRider has been shut out - zero wins.
In the final game of last season, Ryan Zimmerman and a couple of other players actually tackled the other three Presidents in the bullpen and held them down so that Teddy could win the race. Teddy didn't even show up to the park that day.
