ODENTON, Md. (WUSA9) -- Anne Arundel County police say a burglary suspect was caught after citizens reported seeing him throwing objects out of his vehicle.
According to police, witnesses saw a man break into a home in the 2400 block of Kilarney Terrace in Odenton at approximately noon on Wednesday. They told police the man fled in a vehicle. They were able to describe the man and the vehicle, say police.
Police also say other witnesses saw the same man throwing items from the vehicle before he was stopped by officers.
Police are crediting the witnesses for the recovery of the stolen items.
The suspect was identified as 42-year-old James R. Hayes of Adelphi. Police say he is charged with first and third degree burglary, theft under $1,000 and destruction of property over $500.
