ARNOLD, Md. (AP) - Fire officials say a 69-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries when he tumbled 200 feet down a steep slope behind an Arnold home.
Anne Arundel County Fire Department personnel used a rescue basket, ropes and a hauling system to pull the man to safety after the fall on Friday afternoon. He was flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore with serious injuries.
The department says the man fell from a tram while descending the 300-foot hill, which leads to the waterfront.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
