BALTIMORE, Md. (WUSA9) -- A former civilian police officer has been sentenced to four year in prison for possession of child pornography.
James Andrew Wagner, 43, of Hagerstown, entered a plea agreement on April 7, 2011, after multiple incidents where he provided sexually explicit images of minors over the Internet, officials said.
An FBI agent in Kansas City and an FBI agent in Baltimore both used file sharing programs to download child pornography files from Wagner, officials said.
Agents seized his computers and digital media and found well over 600 files of child pornography, officials said.
At the time of the offense, Wagner was a civilian police officer at Fort Detrick.
Upon his release, Wagner must register as a sex offender.
