WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- A woman's water broke while on a red line train near the Gallery Place Chinatown station on Thursday, Metro spokesman Dan Stessel said.
At about 5:30 p.m. the train was halted at the station and began single tracking so transit police and D.C. Fire/EMS could transport the woman to George Washington University Hospital, Stessel said.
The woman gave birth at the hospital.
