WASHINGTON, D.C. (WUSA) - An adult male was shot in the stomach in Southeast on Thursday night, according to MPD.
Police were called to the man's home address on Skyland Place SE for a report of the shooting at about 8 p.m. The man's condition is unknown. When police arrived, they discovered the victim conscious and breathing. He was taken to a hospital with serious life-threatening injuries, according to a police spokesperson, but is expected to live.
Police are looking for two black male suspects armed with a handgun.
The actual shooting took place in the area of 24th St. and Wagner St. SE, where shell casings were found, police said.
