Pittsburgh, PA (Sports Network) - Pittsburgh Steelers running backs Rashard
Mendenhall and Jonathan Dwyer are both listed as doubtful for Sunday's game
against the New York Giants.
Mendenhall has appeared in just two games this season due to ACL surgery in
the offseason and an Achilles injury suffered in Week 6, recording 74 yards on
19 carries while adding 44 yards on four receptions.
Dwyer and Isaac Redman, who is listed as probable for Sunday's contest after
missing the last two games with an ankle injury, have carried the load for
Pittsburgh in Mendenhall's absence.
Dwyer is coming of back-to-back 100-yard rushing games and has 299 yards on 58
rushes over five games this season, while Redman has 127 yards on 50 carries
in five games.
In other injury news, safety Ryan Clark (concussion), running back Baron Batch
(shin) and linebacker Brandon Johnson (hamstring) are also listed as probable
for Sunday.
Safety Troy Polamalu (calf), offensive tackle Marcus Gilbert (ankle) and
linebacker Stevenson Sylvester (hamstring) have all been ruled out of the
contest.
