TRIANGLE, Va. (WUSA) -- A man reported that he was attacked by three males on Chestnut Drive in Triangle at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Friday and then stabbed in the neck.
According to Prince William County police, they responded to the 18300 block of Chestnut Drive at 12:32 a.m. to investigate a reported stabbing. They then found a 41-year-old man lying in front of a home in the 18400 block of Woodland Dr.
The man told them that he was assaulted by 3 males on Chestnut Dr. and during the attack one man stabbed him in the neck. The victim then walked to the home of an acquaintance on Woodland Dr. where he was later found by officers.
The victim suffered life threatening injuries to his upper body and was flown to an area hospital.
Police continue to investigate the stabbing but say it does not appear to be a random incident.
