ALEXANDRIA, Va. (WUSA) -- Fairfax County has set up a staging area in the Huntington neighborhood with police buses on standby on Tuesday morning in case they need to evacuate Huntington or Belle View residents in a moments notice.
Crews plan to be in place at the 2260 Huntington Avenue shopping center throughout the morning.
Officials say that they are most concerned about the conditions at approximately 9 a.m. Currently, the water level is holding at 4 feet above sea level but if it gets to 9 feet, then the streets will flood.
According to officials, approximately 94 residents chose to shelter in place in the Huntington neighborhood that was evacuated yesterday.
