STERLING, Va. (WUSA) -- Loudoun County deputies arrested a Sterling man for allegedly assaulting a woman while walking home with her following a party on Saturday.
Authorities say that deputies responded to the 1000 block of S. Greenhorn Avenue late on Saturday night after receiving a call about a man assaulting a woman. When deputies arrived, they saw two men holding down another man.
The man on the ground was later identified as 30-year-old Wilmer A. Contreras of Sterling. Police say he was allegedly walking the woman home from a party before he assaulted her.
The woman received minor injuries.
Contreras is charged with assault and battery and drunk in public.
